Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone. Have you heard? Have you been? HAVE YOU SEEN!? GET IT TOGETHER! Okay, just kidding. I didn’t visit this park until I was 30, so what am I even saying.
Luckily, for my first visit to the park, I had a Yellowstone pro with me. Morgan spent the summer of COVID-19 near Yellowstone and therefore is VERY versed in its facts, money spots, and places to stop for lunch.
In this video, you’ll follow us along as I try to hold my mouth shut (because of all of my oo-ing and ah-ing), over the sights the sounds, and the BISON!
I think the most magical thing we saw was the bugling elk. Fun Fact: When elk are in rut (looking to get it on with a fellow elk babe), they create this BIZARRE bugling sound that comes from a combo of a whistle and a roar.
Let me tell ya, it was one of the most wacky experiences ever. As we were making our way to exit the park, I had my window down, and I could hear it! Morgan whipped the van around and stopped on the side of the road. We spotted one male bull in the distance, and we could hear a blast of sound, almost like the music of a plastic bendy straw that you blew on as a kid mixed with a didgeridoo. The Elk made their way into the woods, and the spectators stood in silence listening to its love song. HUBBA HUBBA.
